In 1995 it came under the direction of the Blackduck Ambulance Association Incorporated (BAAI) and transitioned to part-time advanced life support status in 2001. BAAI is a nonprofit organization made up of a Board of Directors from across the Blackduck Ambulance service area. The association directs the on-going development of the service, including appropriation of funds provided through an EMS taxing district established in 2000.
